Editing - Video FX


Today during editing we decided to add some Video FX. The video FX we have added is a slight colour saturation, this drains the colour from the images, although not entirely...
Here is what it looks like on some of the test shots I took before shooting!

The difference is noticeable, and works just as well as putting something like a sepia effect on...  It gives the film and older more aged feel to it which is helps adds to the idea of the film being set in the 1940's and the colour drain adds to the effect that the village is depressing and dull and sleepy, this will help shock the audience when they see the murder at the end of the sequence.

When the action goes inside of the church the video effect will not be in place, this is because we feel that the videos lighting is perfect as it is!
